An RLC circuit is driven by an AC generator at f = 191 Hz frequency. (See figure.)

A.) The elements of the circuit have the following values: R = 218 ?, L = 0.585 H, C = 6.82 ?F. What is the impedance of the circuit?

A)
capacitive reactance = 1/(2*pi*f*C)
=1/(2*pi*191*6.82*10^-6)
=122.181 ohm

inductive reactance = 2*pi*f*L
=2*pi*191*0.585
=702.052 ohm
impedance = sqrt (218^2+(702.052-122.181)^2)
=619.5 ohm

B)
f=1/2pi   sqrt(1/L*C)
= 1/2pi   * sqrt (1/0.585*6.82*10^-6)
= 79.68 HZ
