A projectile is fired from a cannon that is suspended above the ground 13m. The canon is pointed at a 0 degree angle. The initial speed of the projectile is 35 m/s.

Calculate the range, height, and time in air. You must show your work.

first calculate the time

since the projectile is fired from zero degree angle it will have horizontal velocity intitally

so distance of projectile above ground= 13m

a) so time = sqrt (2h/g) = sqrt(2*13/9.81) = 1.63s

b) maximum height achieved = 13 as it can't beyond this as it is fired horizontally

c) range = 35*1.63=57.05 m
