Three capacitors whose capacitances are 2.0,4,0, and 5.0microF are connected in parallel across a 100 V battery. Find the charge on each capacitor and the potential difference across each.

since all 3 capacitors are in parallel, voltage across them will be same which will be equal to 100 V.
So, V1=V2=V3=100V

Q = C*V
Charge across 2 micro Farad Capacitor =
Q1= 2*10^-6 *100
     = 2*10^-4 Coulomb
      = 200 microCoulomb

Charge across 4 micro Farad Capacitor =
Q2= 4*10^-6 *100
     = 4*10^-4 Coulomb
      = 400 microCoulomb

Charge across 5 micro Farad Capacitor =
Q3= 5*10^-6 *100
     = 5*10^-4 Coulomb
      = 500 microCoulomb
