During the pitching motion, a baseball pitcher exerts an average horizontal force of 274 N against the 0.158 kg baseball while moving it through a horizontal displacement of 1.3 m before releasing it. Initial ball velocity was zero. At release what was the velocity (m/s) of the ball?

F= 274 N
F= m*a
274 = 0.158 *a
a=1734.177 m/s^2
s= 1.3 m
u=0 m/s
use,
v^2= u^2 + 2*a*s
v^2= 0^2+ 2*1734.177*1.3
v=67.15 m/s
Ans: 67.15 m/s
