that it moves in a horizontal circle with the string making an

angle 18.0 degrees with the vertical? so v=?????m/s I have tried

4.8 and 4.96

here horizontal component of tension provides centripetal

force

so Tsin18 =mv2/r-----------1 (r=lsin18=)

Tcos18=mg---------------2(vertically net

force shiuld be zero)

devide both the equations we

get

tan18=v2/rg => v= .496m/s
