Taking an element of length dx at distance x from the left end of the rod.

Charge on element=(Q/L)dx

Distance of element from P=(r+L/2-x)

Field at P due to the element=k(Q/L)dx/(r+L/2-x)^2

Integrating from x=0 to L to get the field,

E=4kQ/(4r^2-L^2)

b)If r>>L, L term in denominator is neglected, we get,

E=kQ/r^2 which is correct for a point charge.

c)E=4*9*10^9*3*10^-9/(4*0.03^2-0.05^2)=98182N/C
