A particle with charge Q = 5.50 ï¿½C is located at the center of a cube of edge L = 0.160 m. In addition, six other identical charged particles having q = -1 ï¿½C are positioned symmetrically around Q as shown in the figure below. Determine the electric flux through one face of the cube.

Since symmetric

net flux = 6*flux one sides

flux one side = netflux/6 = qenc/(6 e0) = (5.5E-6-6E-6)/(6*8.85E-12)= -9416 N m^2/C = -9.42 kN m^2/C
