Let downward acceleration of 13-N weight = a

Then upward acceleration of 12-N weight = a

Let T = tension in the string

For 13-N weight,

13 - T = (13/g)*a------------------(1)

For 12-N weight,

T - 12 = (12/g)*a------------------(2)

1 = (25/g)*a

Or 1/25 = a/g

Or a = (1/25)*g

1/25 times
