a nearsighted person has a far point that is 323 cm from the eye. if the lens in a pair of glasses os 2cm in front of this person's eye, what focal length must it have to allow to focus on distant objects?

Apply 1/f = 1/p + 1/q

We need to take onject from infinity and focus them at 323 cm from the eye, or 321 cm from the lenses.

Thus 1/f = 1/infinity + 1/-321

So f = -321 cm
